O homem todo

Sei reconhecer um homem bem parecido quando vejo um. Mas já lá vai o tempo em que me iludia acreditando que a aparência de um homem seria o homem todo. Que por ser belo aos meus olhos, assim seriam o seu carácter, os seus valores, a sua conduta. Maus julgamentos que fiz mas que me ensinaram autênticas verdades. Que o ditado "Quem vê caras não vê corações" foi escrito por alguém com sabedoria. Ou que pelo menos teve a habilidade de observar e ou a ousadia de experienciar a dura realidade. Espero que tenha tido a coragem de afastar os fracos de carácter, os sem valores ou os com falta de palavra. Os dissimulados, os maus exemplos.

Assim sou eu nesta bela ventura, a limitar~me ao bom e ao íntegro. Que pode ser pouco, mas que basta. Que também eu seja boa e íntegra e que valha a pena ser salvaguardada pelos bons e pelos íntegros.

The whole man

I know a good-looking man when I see one. But long gone are the days when I deluded myself into believing that a man's appearance was the whole man. That because he is beautiful in my eyes, this would be his character, his values, his conduct. Bad judgments I made but which taught me authentic truths. That the saying "He who sees faces does not see hearts" was written by someone with wisdom. Or who at least had the ability to observe and/or the boldness to experience the harsh reality. I hope he had the courage to remove those who are weak in character, those without values ​​or lacking word. The disguised ones, the bad examples.

This is me in this beautiful adventure, limiting myself to the good and the honorable. It may be little, but it is enough. May I also be good and honorable and worth safeguarding by the good and the honorable ones.
