Moda versus movimento

Uma amiga mostrou~me o livro “Mulheres que correm com os lobos” e perguntou~me se eu já o tinha lido. Curiosamente não. Quando ainda estava nas redes sociais, li muitas partes do livro que outras mulheres iam partilhando e percebi que existiam muitas referências ao livro. Pelos conteúdos que li, o meu entendimento do livro foi que o conteúdo era destinado a mulheres que procuravam se emancipar, uma inspiração ao encontro do feminino elevado e até uma celebração ao ser mulher. Mas eu nunca senti necessidade de o ler. E até respondi à minha amiga, que sendo ela uma Mulher com M grande, absolutamente fantástica e emancipada, que ela se iria identificar com muitas partes do livro, mas que ela já estava lá. Talvez não lhe trouxesse nada de novo. Não tendo eu lido o livro, apenas tendo tido pequenas referências, corro o risco de estar errada.

A sociedade é de modas. E as modas são perigosas. O mundo é de extremos, e os extremos são perigosos. Podemos entender estes polos como meios para alcançar um fim, de eventualmente encontrarmos um equilíbrio, mas o ser humano é pretensiosamente desequilibrado, e perigoso.

Este tema presta~se a um livro de incontáveis páginas.

Sinto que a mulher tem uma grave necessidade de se emancipar ou libertar de um mundo genericamente gerido, manipulado, controlado pelo masculino. E aplaudo que seja hoje um facto, a mulher livre. Jordan Peterson disse uma vez “que a função da mulher é civilizar o homem”. Pois discordo. A existência da mulher não é determinada pela existência do homem como nos foi confiado ser. O disparate! Por outro lado entendo que talvez ele quisesse dizer que a mulher tem essa capacidade.

E depois ouvi também e que é parcialmente verdade: “parece que a mulher perdeu o brio pelo lar e o ser mãe, ter actividades mais domésticas, e que parece que é uma vergonha estar no backstage do homem", talvez como na citação “ Por trás de um grande homem está uma grande mulher”. Vejo isso por toda a parte. A mulher a prescindir do seu lado cuidador e nutridor em prol de ocupar lugares que de certa forma servem bem ao homem. Mas uma mulher jamais deve ser o backstage do homem, nem o “frontstage”. Em cada relação existe um lugar que cada um ocupa, que não tem medida ou condição. E é estipulado pelos dois em relação se assim entenderem.

Tudo isto para dizer que as modas pegam, e devemos ser bem críticos antes de decidirmos abraçar modas que se disfarçam de movimentos. Especialmente se estas modas fingem ser movimentos que não visam a harmonia mas a discórdia.

Só uma pequena chamada de atenção. Para todos nós, mulheres e homens.

A friend showed me the book “Women Who Run with The Wolves” and asked me if I had read it. Interestingly not. When I was still on social media, I read many parts of the book that other women were sharing and I realized that there were many references to the book. From the contents I read, my understanding of the book was that the content was intended for women seeking to emancipate themselves, an inspiration to meet the elevated feminine and even a celebration of being a woman. But I never felt the need to read it. And I even replied to my friend, who being a Woman with a big M, absolutely fantastic and emancipated, that she would identify with many parts of the book, but that she was already there. Maybe the book would not bring her anything new. Having not read the book, having only had small references, I run the risk of being wrong.

Society is fashionable. And fashions are dangerous. The world is one of extremes, and extremes are dangerous. We can understand these poles as means to reach an end, to eventually find a balance, but the human being is pretentiously unbalanced, and dangerous.

This theme lends itself to a book of countless pages.

I feel that women have a serious need to emancipate themselves or free themselves from a world generally managed, manipulated, controlled by the male. And I applaud the fact that today the free woman is a fact. Jordan Peterson once said "that a woman's function is to civilize a man". Well, I disagree. Woman's existence is not determined by the existence of man as we have been entrusted to be. The nonsense! But on the other hand, I understand that he might have meant that women have that ability.

And then I also heard, which is partially true “it seems that the woman has lost pride for the home and being a mother, having more domestic activities, and that it seems that it is nos a shame to be in the backstage of the man” Perhaps as in the quote “Behind a great man, there is a great woman”. I see this everywhere. The woman giving up her caring and nurturing side in favor of occupying places that, in a way, serve the man well. But a woman should never be the man's backstage, nor the “frontstage”. In each relationship there is a place that each one occupies, which has no measure or condition. And it is stipulated by the two in relation if they so wish.

All this to say that fads stick, and we must be very critical before we decide to embrace fads that masquerade as movements. Especially if these fads pretend to be movements that aim not at harmony but at discord.
