Fundamentalismo

É verdade que hoje em dia muitos de nós reconhecemos que as pessoas são sitemáticamente manipuladas por muitos meios, sendo a religião um deles. Contudo, as mesmas pessoas ainda acreditam que só podemos ser fundamentalistas nas nossas crenças em Deus, seja qual for o nome dado. No entanto, podemos e de certa forma somos fundamentalistas em todas as outras crenças que carregamos.

Uma crença pode ser surpreendentemente motivadora e inspiradora. Quando se torna uma conduta de intolerância e cegueira, torna-se totalmente destrutiva. O fundamentalista nega que o é. Porque não se permite ver. Contudo, quando alegamos que uma ideia tem que ser afirmada sem se pouparem esforços contra a vontade alheia, ou até do próprio, e vivemos nesse limite e excesso de certeza, convictos e sem margem para outra tese, estamos a ser fundamentalistas, intransigentes.

Existe um grave perigo no fundamentalismo. A não expressão do eu. As ideias de cada um de nós são desvirtualizadas de forma a seguirem~se regimes de não sei quem, por uma razão qualquer. Não será sempre o caso. Podemos ser fundamentalistas na forma como comemos, como exercitamos, como convivemos com os demais habitantes da Terra. Podemos ser fundamentalistas na forma como simplesmente existimos.

A minha confiança cai sempre na ideia de existir espaço, de permitir espaço. Para o diferente. Para uma ideia que não se adequa necessariamente à minha sem que tenha que ser hostil para com o outro. E depois, que as ideias tenham sempre como base, valores nobres, amor, compaixão, amabilidade, verdade.

Não precisamos ser fundamentalistas para sermos fiéis ao que nos move. Pelo contrário. Haja espaço.

Fundamentalism

However, the same people still believe that we can only be fundamentalists in our beliefs in God, whatever the name given. However, we can and in a way, we are fundamentalists in every other belief we carry.

A belief can be surprisingly motivating and inspiring. When it becomes a conduct of intolerance and blindness, it becomes totally destructive. The fundamentalist denies that he is. Because he does not allow himself to see. However, when we claim that an idea has to be affirmed without sparing efforts against the will of others, or even our own, and we live in that limit and excess of certainty, convinced and without room for another thesis, we are being fundamentalists, intransigent.

There is a grave danger in fundamentalism. The non~expression of the self. The ideas of each one of us are devirtualized in order to follow the regimes of I do not know who, for whatever reason. This, will not always be the case. We can be fundamentalists in the way we eat, how we exercise, how we live with the rest of the Earth's inhabitants. We can be fundamentalists in the way we simply exist.

My trust always falls on the idea of ​​there being space, of allowing space. For the different. For an idea that does not necessarily suit mine without having to be hostile towards the other. And then, that ideas are always based on noble values, love, compassion, kindness, truth.

We do not need to be fundamentalists to be faithful to what moves us. On the contrary. Let there be space.
